About

The eye: the gaze

Eternal Gaze is a weblog exploring beyond cinema.

“Between November 2003 and November 2004 Eternal Gaze was used mainly as an unpublicized research dump, an outboard brain for my personal convenience to label links or events I might want to refer to again. In November 2005 I revived the weblog to become a more public document of my research and to complement my writing, current book, or consultancy work.

Please enjoy the journal entries, and if you agree, disagree, or would just like to encourage more writing, then please leave comments on the posts or give me direct feedback using the contact form if you have specific requests or opportunities.

Thanks.”

    Hi Matt,
This is Lars from Oberhausen if you remember.
I can’t find a proper e-mail address of you, so my apologies for using this form!
I hope this message finds you well.
We are about to compile a book on the music video after the internet, and we would be excited if you’d like to join us as author.
We were thinking of a short essay of 1,200 words max. on Pussycrew. We can offer you 250 euros as fee. Deadline Jan 20?
Also, we want to encourage our authors to reflect the development of the music video also in general terms.
    Warmly,
    Lars
